G’day everyone! My name is Peter and I’m from Cairns in Australia. I became interested in Japan after working in a Japanese restaurant after finishing high school and I loved helping my co-workers with English. I then moved to Japan and have been teaching English here since 2008. I love helping my students feel happy and confident using and improving their English. I have been living in Kizu for about 5 years and I enjoy being in the countryside more than the busy city.
In my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar, listening to music, learning about computers and technology and cooking. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your English goals!
オーストラリアのケアンズから来ましたPeterです。高校卒業後に日本食レストランで働いていたことから日本に興味を持つようになり、日本人の同僚の英語を手助けをすることも好きでした。2008年から日本で英語を教えていて、生徒さんに英語を楽しんでもらうことや自信を持って話せるようになる手伝いをすることが大好きです。木津には5年ほど住んでいてとても気に入っています。趣味はギター、音楽、コンピューターやテクノロジーについて学ぶこと、料理をすることです。みなさんの英語目標の達成をサポートできるのが楽しみです！

Hello! My name is Emily, and I’m from Washington state (not DC!) in the United States. I became interested in Japan as a high school student, and in college I had the opportunity to study at Kansai Gaidai in Osaka for a year. I’ve taught English for six years in total, with the last four in Okayama Prefecture.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy knitting, baking, listening to music, and collecting too much stationery. These hobbies serve as my creative outlets, and I love bringing that creativity into my lessons as well.
I believe that learning should be enjoyable and meaningful. That’s why I work hard to create fun, engaging lessons tailored to my students' needs. Seeing my students progress and gain confidence in their English abilities is one of my favorite parts of teaching.
